The Kendall School of Arts was due to host events for the official start of the Kendall National Violin Competition from Friday, March 20 to March 22.
The group of musicians invited to the weekend is unable to travel as the University of Sydney has issued a directive against travel, including regional travel.
The event is set to be rescheduled later this year.
Kendall National Violin Competition artistic director Dr Goetz Richter, an associate professor at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, said organisers are very grateful for the generous support from the Kendall Community Op Shop.
