Despite that setback, the organising committee says it was still able to conduct a number of events carried out.
One of these successful events included, the Purple People Shopping and Market Day on Thursday, March 12.
There was a real buzz around the central business district with shoppers, market stalls and sidewalk specials all helping create a wonderful event
The Lasiandra committee would like to thank all those who participated in some way, either by decorating their shop windows, premises and dressing in the purple theme or having a sidewalk stall.
All these efforts helps add to the atmosphere and helps to create a fun day for the entire community.
Many businesses also made significant contributions with their window displays.
