Police this morning located the body of a 29-year-old man who fell from a cliff yesterday afternoon while hiking in the park.
Emergency services searched for the man in fading light late yesterday after receiving an emergency call about 5.30pm.
The man was apparently hiking with friends not far from the Ranger Uranium mine site near Jabiru.
CareFlight flew a rescue helicopter to join the search late yesterday but was unable to locate the man.
Police, Kakadu Park Rangers, local health clinic and CareFlight were all involved in a search and rescue effort again this morning.
Sadly the man was found deceased at the bottom of the cliff.
Police thank all those who were involved in the search.
A report will now be prepared for the Coroner.
