Rt major Wilkinson has launched an initiative that would see veterans and their families visit farmers in rural and regional NSW.
"As you are aware, Australia has been ravaged by droughts and bushfires," he said. Farmers and their families are at their breaking point, physically, financially and psychologically.
"I am calling on veterans to make sure their next holiday includes a country town that has been affected by the drought or bushfires."
To make a donation, visit the veterans supporting farmers website which has a direct link to the Country Women's Association (CWA) Disaster Relief Fund.
The CWA will administer and distribute the funds.
