We're starting to think about our future community, developing our Community Strategic Plan, and we're calling this initiative 'Think 2050'.
We want everyone in our community to get involved and let us know what they'd like to see in thirty years' time.
In 2050, I'll be in my 80s, so I'll be very interested to hear what our senior population has to look forward to.
There's a number of different activities, forums, and meetings that people of all ages can get involved with.
From our little ones, through to our teens and young adults, our mums and dads, and our senior population as well - you can take part.
So, everyone that lives in our community, we want to hear what you have to say about what our future's going to look like.
We'll be exploring and discussing everything that makes our community tick.
There's so much that council does here for our community.
Whether that be infrastructure, or for our environment, our economy, our sports and recreation, our tourism, you name it.
We want to hear what you think about what our community might look like in 2050.
We've got some huge 'Think 2050' letters that we're going to be placing in various places around our region during the coming months.
You might see them down at a local park, on the side of a road, or down at the beach.
When you see them, take a picture and post it on social media, or send us an email to let us know what you might want to see in that particular location in 2050.
There's lots of opportunities to get involved so I'm encouraging everyone to jump onto council's website, see all the opportunities, and let us know your big picture ideas.
So get your thinking caps on, get creative, and let's 'Think 2050'.
