They donated over 10 baskets of winter clothes, blankets and food to the local St Vincent De Paul branch who will use it to support the local community in need.
Teacher Lori Galloway said that the student leaders enthusiastically drummed up support for the cause and everyone jumped on board.
They were able to present the goods to St Vincent De Paul Representatives in early July.
Local area manager Jenny O'Rourke said that, especially coming out of COVID, the St Vincent De Paul branch is short on supplies and there were more people in need than before COVID.
"St Joseph's contacted us to see if they could do something as the students knew there was a need when they returned to school from remote learning. We are always grateful for the support we receive from the Wauchope community," she said.
The Winter Appeal continues in the community.
Donations of warm clothes, beanies and blankets can be dropped off to the Wauchope Branch in Cameron Street.
