ARTWALK, a celebration of Port Macquarie-Hastings creativity, kicks off on October 1 but not as we would normally know it.

The event which runs through until October 8, will still be edgy, delightful and surprising but instead of the usual one-night street festival, residents are invited to explore multiple locations across Port Macquarie-Hastings over the course of the week.

The extensive ArtWalk 2020 Program also includes artists markets and over 40 satellite events.

Mayor Peta Pinson said ArtWalk will deliver something for everyone this year across the entire local government area.

"This year ArtWalk has spread its wings with Port Macquarie, Wauchope and Laurieton all featured in our region's most popular creative extravaganza," Cr Pinson said.

Port Macquarie-Hastings Council has taken ArtWalk onto the streets and into local businesses by encouraging artists to use shop front windows as their own gallery for a week.
