The softball match up between Always Able and Warriors on Saturday was an even and well contrasted game played in great spirit.

Kelly Ward was best at bat for Warriors, hitting a triple and two single base hits from three times at bat.
Kim Nairn scored three runs with her well placed hit to left field.
Lindsay Hartlett and Narina McNeil also hit the ball well.
Warriors' Keira Trembath at second base was a standout, while Marilyn Bradley at third base took a very hard line drive.
For Always Able, Anni, Michelle and Sarah were big hitters. Pitcher Mabel Ritchie with her deceptive drop ball kept Warriors guessing.
In a score that could have easily gone either way, Warriors eased their way to a win 11-9.
The match between Enduro and Lakers was another evenly matched game which saw the teams at 2-2, at the bottom of the second innings.
Strong batting by Enduro, Sharon, Angela and Kandy advanced them to a comfortable position but Lakers didn't give up and recorded 6 runs in next 2 innings, closing the gap.
Lakers good hits came from Brie, Alethea and Mali.
Enduro now 1 run in front at 4 innings added another run in the fifth to a tally of 8.
Lakers with the last turn at bat, needed to get runs in to win, they were able to put runners on base but just couldn't bring them home. Enduro won 8-6.
