Brazen Hussies celebrates bold women who championed change

Wauchope Arts is pleased to host a film screening that celebrates the bold women behind Australia's feminist revolution ... some of whom live in the Port Macquarie-Hastings community.

There will be one screening only of Brazen Hussies on Sunday, December 13 at 3pm at Wauchope Arts hall.

Brazen Hussies records stories from the Women's Liberation Movement (1965-1975) and Women's Electoral Lobby in a way that reminds us of their significant contribution to the shaping of modern life in Australia.

Dozens of then-and-now interviews allow an array of extraordinary, often high-profile Australian women to articulate their own personal journeys, the gains we have made and how changes demanded 50 years ago have paved the way for society today.

A short Q&A with director and writer Catherine Dwyer plus some 'local guest Brazen Hussies' will follow immediately after the film.

Tickets available now - $20;$15 online sales only - ticket link.
