Since taking part, Jaclyn has completed her studies at university and has finished her degree in teaching.
She says her Showgirl experience was incredible.
"I made many new connections with people across many different communities. I was able to build my self-confidence and realise I could empower other girls to achieve anything they desire.
"By being involved in the showgirl movement, I have met some amazing women who all aspire to be a great representation of their communities. The showgirl experience has also given me the opportunity to raise awareness around the issues surrounding our local community," she added.
Jaclyn urges local girls and women to get involved.
"This competition is like no other. As a showgirl, you get the opportunity to meet like-minded girls, all passionate about keeping the showgirl movement and country show movement alive. You will make friends for life and have once-in-a-lifetime experience.
And Jaclyn has this advice for local girls and women entering the Wauchope Showgirl competition.
"Enjoy every moment of the experience. Showgirl only ends when you take the sash off, even if you don’t happen to win, you decide when your experience is going to end."
Asked to describe a Wauchope Showgirl in three words, Jaclyn said: passionate, enthusiastic and driven.
The competition has places available in both the junior and senior event so any girls interested should phone Debbie on 0409310383, Madeline on 0458722457 or Ann at the showground office on 6585302
